A: No. If you’re renting a string instrument or aren’t sure about size, we can size your child in our Norwalk showroom or work directly from the teacher’s recommendation. Q2. Are your instruments approved for Norwalk school music programs? A: Yes. We work directly with all of the Westport band and orchestra directors and stock the brands and models they request for their programs. Q3. What happens if my child decides to stop playing? A: Our rentals are month-to-month. If they stop playing, simply return the instrument and billing stops per your agreement. Q4. Is maintenance or repair coverage available? A: Yes. Our Maintenance Plan covers most common repairs from normal use, handled by our in-house technicians. Q5. Can we upgrade or switch instruments later? A: Absolutely. As students grow or progress, we can help them move to a larger size or a step-up instrument, and you can switch instruments if the teacher recommends a change. Q6. Do you deliver to Westport schools? A: Yes. We deliver to every Westport Public School and are typically there once or twice per week. Q7. What brands do you rent? A: We rent teacher-preferred brands including Yamaha, Jupiter, Eastman, Knilling, Revelle, and Canzona. These are the same makes and models used in local school music programs, and every instrument is professionally set up in our Norwalk facility. Q8. What if the instrument needs repair during the school year? A: Bring it to our Norwalk location anytime. We offer same-day repairs for many school-related issues, and if a repair requires more time, we provide a free loaner instrument so your child never misses rehearsal. Q9. How quickly can we get an instrument? A: If you visit our Norwalk showroom, you can take one home the same day. Online orders are prepared in our shop and ready for pickup quickly during business hours. Q10. Do you rent percussion kits for Westport programs? A: Yes. We rent teacher-approved bell and pad kits that match Norwalk school requirements, including the correct mallets, sticks, and accessories recommended by local directors. Q11. What accessories will my child need? A: We follow each school’s supply list and provide the exact mouthpiece, reeds, shoulder rest, rosin, valve oil, mallets, or method book required by your child’s teacher. Parents never have to guess. Q12. Are your rentals professionally cleaned and set up? A: Yes. Every instrument is fully cleaned, disinfected, adjusted, and play-tested in our 12,000sf Norwalk service facility before it leaves the shop. Q13. Can we rent if we live outside of Westport? A: Yes. We serve families across Fairfield County and Westchester. You can pick up in our Norwalk showroom or use any of our affiliate locations listed on our website. Q14. Do you pick up exchanges or returns at schools? A: Sorry, most Westport schools prefer that exchanges and returns not take place on school grounds. These transactions often require teacher or staff involvement, and the schools have asked us to keep them outside the building. All returns and exchanges can be done quickly at our Norwalk showroom.
